ReachEverywhere's Mobile Publisher is an adaptive and cooperative application infrastructure that provides enterprises with the efficiencies and distribution speed of a multicast network in a mobile internet environment. The technology links participating nodes together across a variety of underlying network protocols, providing a virtual environment in which they can easily and quickly share information.
The technology supports multiple mobile clients, from MIDlets to WAP browsers and SMS. It provides a publish and subscribe metaphor which lets users easily say what they want and lets publishers deliver that. It provides a programmatic interface which is a subset of the JMS messaging standard.
The Mobile Publisher is based on a networking technology that is uniquely suited to environments with intermittent or poor service and/or high latency. The network is self-administering, finding optimum paths to deliver data and repairing network problems automatically.
